A small, intimate accommodation in the main house, the Wildrose Room is tucked away on the second floor with views of the quiet, historic La Loma Plaza below.
Take a step back in time as you enjoy the detailed work of Taos artist David Vedoe’s beautiful wall mural that captures a quintessential Taos sunset over the bustling La Loma Plaza circa 1800. This fortified hilltop plaza just west of central Taos was constructed by Spanish settlers for protection. Many of these homes have been restored, and you can still see the old San Antonio church across the plaza from the Inn.
David’s work adorns the raised kiva fireplace with namesake wild roses to accent the subtle pink walls, handcrafted latilla shutters, and matching headboard. Wood floors cover the bedroom and vanity area, and just a few steps lead you up to the closet and bathroom with tub/shower combination featuring a Mexican tiled pink flower motif.
High ceilings create an airy feeling in this cozy, queen room and the thick adobe walls provide for a quiet retreat during your stay, making the Wildrose Room perfect for a quick romantic getaway or ideal for those who are visiting Taos for one of the many workshops and symposiums.
