Located on La Loma Plaza, formerly called Plazuela de San Antonio, the Inn's first floor was built in 1800 as part of a fortified Spanish settlement. As a property on the National Register of Historic Places, this beautifully resorted hacienda retains its historic ambiance and pays homage to Pueblo Revival architecture (Santa Fe Style) with details such as: high ceilings, thick adobe walls, hardwood and tile floors, hand carved furniture, corbels and vigas, and southwestern art and decor.
Sequestered behind high adobe walls with spacious, lush, tree-shaded grounds, this quiet retreat provides lovely outdoor areas for guests overlooking Taos, the Sangre de Cristo Range, and Taos Mountain yet a short walk to the Taos Plaza Historic district where many shops, restaurants, and galleries are located. Just four miles from Taos Pueblo, nineteen miles from Taos Ski Valley, and one hour and twenty minutes from Santa Fe, the Inn feels like a rural retreat with upscale amenities and convenient access to everything Taos has to offer.
Experience our guest rooms, each with a different theme inspired by the vibrant history of the Southwest. The Inn provides premium amenities, a daily gourmet breakfast, personalized concierge service, and a commitment to superb guest enjoyment. We invite you to experience the diverse history and art of Taos: a thousand years of Pueblo Indian culture, 400 years of Spanish settlement, and over 100 years as an art colony. Inn on Loma Plaza has been family operated since 1991.
