Second Floor | Queen | $125 - 225
The small, cozy Wildrose Room is tucked away at the top of the stairs on the second floor of the main house with a view of the quiet, historic residential La Loma Plaza.
Take a step back in time as you enjoy the beautiful wall mural created by Taos artist David Vedoe that captures a Taos sunset over the bustling La Loma Plaza circa 1800. This fortified hilltop plaza, just west of the Historic Taos Plaza, was constructed by Spanish settlers for protection.
David’s work also adorns the raised kiva fireplace decorated with wild roses to accent the subtle pink walls, handcrafted latillas shutters, matching headboard and wood floors. The vanity area adjoins the bedroom and two steps up lead to the closet and bathroom with tub/shower combination featuring a Mexican tiled pink flower motif.
High ceilings create an airy feeling in this cozy, queen room and the thick adobe walls provide a quiet retreat during your stay, making the Wildrose Room perfect for a romantic getaway or participation in one Taos’s many art workshops and symposiums. This room includes air conditioning, Keurig coffee/tea service, flat screen TV with VCR/DVD, and complimentary WiFi.
